Job Summary:
Westat has an immediate opening for a project administrator to join our health studies group to work with and support the work of a multidisciplinary team of researchers focused on prevention research and other related areas of public health.  This position is located at the client site in Rockville, Maryland.  

Job Responsibilities:
•    Coordinate recurring and ad hoc meetings for a wide variety of project teams, including assisting with agenda development, tracking of action items and note-taking.
•    Plan and support in person and virtual meetings, and other events, requiring the coordination of multiple calendars and ability to respond to inquiries to address questions from a variety of stakeholders.   
•    Provide program and project management support including development of standard operating procedures, database creation and management, resource library creation, data mining, and documentation editing.  Project management support will also include taking extensive meeting notes, identification of action items, virtual meeting management development using various platforms (Webex, zoom, etc.), and communication with staff across NIH, external stakeholders and the public, and various teams and individuals across NIH.  
•    Develop and revise or modify PowerPoint slides presentations for use by senior staff. 
•    Coordinate with and serve as a back-up, as needed, to other program and administrative support staff in the office. 

Basic Qualifications: 
•    A Bachelor's degree with 3 years of administrative experience is required.  
•    Experience setting up and supporting meetings on virtual platforms (Webex, Zoom, Microsoft Teams)

Preferred Qualifications:
•    Strong writing and communications skills. • Strong organization and note-taking skills and writing skills
•    Strong information/data management skills (i.e. gathering data from various sources and collating into spreadsheets)
•    Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook, as well as various project management platforms (such as MS Teams, Box, etc.)
•    Proficient in using online collaboration tools and calendar management tools.

The successful candidate must work well on teams, be highly organized, detail-oriented, able to take initiative, and able to manage multiple projects and competing demands simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills and good interpersonal skills are essential.
