Senior Associate, Product Manager

As part of the Digital Payments organization within Capital One, you'll be responsible for maintaining and growing our partner relationships and payment integrations with several 3rd party Digital Wallets. You will be responsible for driving best-in-class customer experiences on our Web and Mobile platforms. To fit in, you should be excited about delivering amazingly simple experiences that make life easier for our customers. You'll also need to be equally comfortable talking to engineers on our tech teams, and working with business analysts.

In this role you will:
  • Lead a highly dynamic and multi-disciplinary team to develop and enhance digital payment products on a day to day basis. You will translate business strategies into product experiences that delight our customers and position Capital One for substantial growth and disruption in eCommerce.
  • You are a dynamic product owner familiar with Agile methodology who will rally the team and work in a highly collaborative environment.
  • Collaborate with internal partners across a complex organization. You will be exceptional at developing and nurturing relationships with key internal stakeholders in support of Capital One's lines of business.
  • Collaborate with external partners. You will represent Capital One in existing and new partner relationships in delivering product intent and seeking out potential new opportunities.
  • Lead regular interactions and check-ins with internal and external parties.
  • Be responsible for setting goals and driving product performance, lifecycle stages as well as enhancements that drive change in key performance indicators.
  • Organize and participate in research - qualitative and quantitative to include organizing and facilitating as needed.
  • The Product Manager will be responsible for communicating within the cross-functional team and on behalf of the team to stakeholders and executives. They will also be responsible for communicating with external strategic partner companies with whom we have shared services.


Successful candidates will have the following:
  • Understand customer expectations; industry best practices; current gaps & technical constraints; participate in developing the roadmap; drive requirements and ultimately partner with IT Delivery, Operations, enterprise teams (e.g. Legal, Compliance) and third-party vendors to deliver the optimal customer experience.
  • High motivation, results driven, and comfort working in a complex, fast-paced environment where the details matter.
  • A knack for quickly understanding complex topics while clearly distilling and articulating key information to relevant stakeholders.
  • Great communicator and a natural problem solver who thrives on helping their team achieve clarity of vision and align toward shared product outcomes.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 3 years of experience in digital product management


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or Business
  • MBA or Master's degree
  • At least 3 years of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products including user experience design and usability understanding and evaluation
  • At least 2 years of experience in Agile product management
