Are you looking for challenging and rewarding work this summer? Then Therapeutic Recreation Services is the place for you! We are now filling openings for our 2021 Summer Camp programs that provide fun and support for school-aged children and teens with varying disabilities.

Therapeutic Recreation Leader (Rec Leader III)
• Provides participant supervision
• Facilitates daily activities and assists with program planning

Hours vary based on camp enrollment and location. (20—40 hours/week) • Staff are placed based upon program needs. • Staff must work all 6 weeks of the program and required trainings. (Dates: June 15 - August 6)

Employment Standards

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Must have at least 250 hours of experience in a recreation or school setting serving individuals with disabilities (college course work can supplement experience).
• Must acquire CPR and First Aid Certification for children and adults that is valid through August 2021.
• TB test results: New Hires must have proof of a negative result within the last year/Returning Staff need proof of a negative results within the past 2 years.

NECESSARY SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:
The appointee to this position will be required to complete a criminal background check, a check of the Child Protective Services Registry, and a driver's license check to the satisfaction of the employer.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience working with community recreational programs serving youth, adults and/or families.
