Sr. Associate, Product Management, Card

As a Sr. Product Manager in a data-science-driven organization, you will be part of a team working continuously to transform every corner of Capital One's Card business through analytics, infrastructure, valuations, and strategy. We build human-centric experiences for moments that matter throughout the customer journey, and we do this by harnessing data, technology, and talent to propel our business forward.

This role is on the creditflow team. Creditflow is a Python package which serves as the analytical foundation of the US credit card business. Users leverage our elegant python interface to score Capital One's models which predict potential value. With this information, our users build the business strategy which determines which customers get approved and what card terms they receive.

The creditflow team is a fun, diverse, cross-functional team of engineers, data scientists, and product managers. We're passionate about creating a positive, collaborative environment where we each grow our respective skill sets. This role involves joining our product team which follows agile and user-driven development practices. Our work is a good mix of smaller tasks and larger, more involved projects. The day-to-day varies but will include items like:

- Collaborating with our product team to prioritize our mid- and long-term goals which both support and influence the broader US Card agenda

- Writing user stories which communicate our key initiatives to the developer team

- Leveraging knowledge about creditflow and feedback gathered from users to improve our user experience

- Validating features completed by the development team prior to release

The Ideal Candidate is:

- Experienced with prioritizing features with a development team that meet customer needs

- Interested in gaining a detailed understanding of how multiple US Card teams make business decisions

- Familiar with agile techniques

- Comfortable working independently and in a team environment

Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in digital product management

Preferred Qualifications:
  • MBA or Master's Degree
  • 3+ years of experience translating business strategy into digital products
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile product management
