Adventist HealthCare seeks to hire a Full Time Lead, Food Service Worker who will embrace our mission to extend God's care through the ministry of physical, mental and spiritual healing. The Lead Food Service Worker is under the direct supervision of the Manager and is responsible for food preparation, working in the kitchen at various stations (i.e., Salad, Catering, Grill, Pizza and Deli), has cooking experience, knife skills, performs well under pressure.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
• Provide on-the-job training and new-hire orientation
• Provide day-to-day operational guidance to team members
• Serve as intermediary between staff members and supervisors.
• Ensures food products are produced in a timely manner under appropriate
food safety guidelines.
• As needed, prepares food on time by following standardized recipes 100% of
the time at the correct temperature and accurately documents time and
temperature.
• Maintains sanitation for area utilization and responsible for HAACP and food
safety.
• Communicate proactively to direct supervisor to ensure superior outcomes are met on a daily basis.

Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:
• High school or GED desired but not required
• Food Handlers Certification helpful
• 1-2 Years hospital food service experience helpful
• Strong customer service skills
• Able to handle a multi task environment
• Must be able to read and speak English. Bilingual is a plus

Work Schedule:

Shift Schedule: 11 am to 8 pm and every other weekend.

Those testing positive are given the opportunity to re-apply in 90 days, if they can truthfully attest that they have not used any nicotine products in the past ninety (90) days and successfully pass follow-up testing.
