Summary

This position is at the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) in the Office of National Examinations and Supervision (ONES). This position serves as a National Supervision Technician.

Responsibilities

As a National Supervision Technician, you will:

- Establish priorities for work received and prepare outgoing letters, emails, memorandums, forms, reports, etc., to both internal and external audiences using data and work processing procedures and technologies.
- Input and correct data in national and regional databases and computer tracking systems and run reports with statistical data for regional management.
- Coordinate regional quarterly reports and work with state credit union administration offices to assure the timely and complete submission of necessary data.
- Review and analyze credit union merger applications for safety and soundness concerns.
- Work closely with the Division Directors and National Supervision Analysts on special projects as assigned, research data, compile information into statistical reports, schedules and graphs.

Qualifications

Specialized experience is the experience that has equipped you with the specific knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled.

To qualify at the CU-07 level, you must have at least one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-06 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include the following:
1) preparing a variety of written correspondence;
2) verifying data for accuracy and completeness;
3) using computer software to develop spreadsheets; and
4) using a database to enter information.

To qualify at the CU-08 level, you must have at least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the CU/GS-07 level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience must include the following:
1) preparing a variety of written correspondence;
2) verifying data for accuracy and completeness;
3) analyzing financial data;
4) using computer software to develop spreadsheets;
5) using a database to enter information; and
6) using a database to generate reports.

To qualify at the CU-09 level, you must have one full year of specialized experience equivalent to the CU/GS-8 level in federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors) which included experience
1) preparing a variety of written correspondence;
2) verifying data for accuracy and completeness;
3) analyzing financial data;
4) using computer software to develop spreadsheets;
5) using a database to enter information;
6) using a database to generate reports; and
7) developing and implementing processes or procedures.

SALARY: Pay will be set within the advertised pay range to align with the selectee's skills and experience and the requirements of the position.

Pay will be set using NCUA's compensation policy. The salary range shown is NCUA's Local Pay Rate (LPR) which includes the locality rate for the Alexandria, Virginia geographical area. Please click here to review all salary ranges based on locality.
