S/He assists Accounts Payable department with invoices, research, and resolution. Provides support as needed. Duties will range and may include invoice entry, vendor inquiries and data analysis. The Accounting Assistant will assist accounting department with various special projects, data analytics, miscellaneous billing and collections, and reconciliations.Pay & Benefits: In addition to salary, the benefit package includes paid major holidays, vacation/sick time, health & dental insurance, and 401(k)Responsibilities* Collect cash, checks, and credit card payments from customers/patients.* Maintain cash control over register drawer and petty cash and verify amounts are correct.* Prepare various lockbox payments to be deposited in the Bank.* Reconcile lockbox deposits against the bank activity to ensure they were received.* Record lockbox deposits on the general ledger based on coding provided by department.* Assist with the investigation and resolution of deposit discrepancies.* Perform monthly data analytics.* Complete account analysis and reconciliation monthly and resolve outstanding items.* Assist with various special projects as needed.* Invoice scanning, entry, research, vendor communication.* Generate Other A/R invoicing, monthly statements, and collect on outstanding amounts.Qualifications* High School Diploma or Equivalent required.* Associate''s Degree in a related field preferred.* One year of General Office and Customer Service experience preferred.* High level of organization and ability to prioritize tasks.* Ability to develop strong relationships with people at all levels and across organizations.* Self-starter requiring limited supervision.* Independent thinker and creative problem-solver.* Exceptional customer service and communication skills.* Ability to work independently and as part of a team* Ability to multi-task and work under pressure with minimal errors.* Basic proficiency with office technology; Microsoft Outlook and Excel required, and Microsoft Word a Jobble
