The Principal Data Software Engineer position requires applicants to be self-driven and work as part of a distributed team designing and implementing high quality, customer driven solutions. The candidates have strong working knowledge and experience of Agile Software Development and will be responsible for design, implementation, testing, building and deployment of solutions touching on a wide variety of technologies. Key Responsibilities : . Design, architect, build and maintain scalable distributed data pipeline, including data ingestion, enrichment, and transformation, supporting a data lake and data warehouse/marts. . Manages the technical excellence of a product. Ensures proper standards and processes are in place for product success. . Identifies architectural needs based on product priorities and works closely with product management to schedule the work. . Actively engaged in full SSDLC for strategically critical features. This may include features, refactors, architectural additions. . Mentors primarily senior engineers, leans on their expertise for building standards & processes in respective areas of the architecture and delivery. . Proficient in full scope of enterprise software development . Contributes to company IP in the form of patents, technical presentations, and/or blog posts. Qualifying Requirements : . 10+ years of experience in design and implementation of complex solutions . Experience with Data lake and data warehouse technologies, including Apache Spark/Databricks, Delta lake. . Linux system experience required. . Proficiency with Java and/or Scala. . Proficiency with AWS and/or Azure . Experience with ElasticSearch . Experience with SQL, GraphDB's a plus. . Understanding of various virtualization technologies . Understanding of GIT and CI/CD practices and tools . Excellent verbal and written communication skills required, fluent in English. . Experience working in an Agile Scrum development environment. . Experience technically leading a group of engineers, including QA toward milestones. . Defining and meeting aggressive timelines Preferred Experience: . Background in security and network products . Experience working on Enterprise Product Development teams . Familiarity with the Cybersecurity industry, and threat intelligence Education / Training : . Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Computer Science, equivalent work experience can be substituted for a degree. Have talented friends?
