Proven acumen with client interaction and collaboration is required along with production migration planning, cloud architecture, application development, testing while providing Technical Lead guidance and support to the assigned team. What You'll Be Doing: Technical Lead guidance and engages to support within and across technical teams, interfaces with senior management Hands-on development, technical task management, and problem-solving related to software engineering Researching, testing, building, and coordinating the conversion of existing and/or integration of new products, client requirements Designing and develop new software products or major enhancements to existing software, evaluate effectiveness, front-end and back-end program languages Engage and collaborate with Chief Technologists Establish and manages well organized task plans to meet project objectives via Agile Addressing problems of systems integration, compatibility, multiple platforms/relational databases (DBMS) Consulting with project teams and end-users to identify application requirements Performing feasibility analysis on potential future project recommendations to the client Assisting in evaluation and recommendation of application software packages, application integration, and testing tools Resolving problems with software, systems and responding to suggestions for improvements and enhancements Instructing, assigning, directing, and checking the work of others on the development team. Participating in the development of software user manuals and technical reports Performs as the lead on assigned back-end application O&M infrastructure task work while interfacing within the direct teams Senior System, Database Specialist engineers, and matrix with front-end Application Development team. Required Education, Skills, and Experience: Bachelor' degree in related field of study and a minimum of 15 years experience, and/or Masters degree Technical infrastructure experience in Java-based environments Experience developing applications and microservices using Java with RDBMS knowledge for back-end Experience with PostgresSQL Experience in configuring and deploying applications in AWS CICD pipeline experience JIRA, Confluence, Gitlab or similar Experience using source control for managing software development releases (Ex: GitHub, SVN, or Mercurial) Experience planning and leading major technology assignments Ability to document solutions and train operational teams as needed on support capabilities Ability to articulate complex architectures to both technical and non-technical audiences Preferred Skills and Experience: Experience working for or supporting Federal Government's emerging technology changes Requires, at minimum, in-depth technical knowledge in the following areas: AWS Gov-cloud Cloud formation scripting PostgresSQL RDBMS Java and Angular interfacing for front-end technologies Experience developing and deploying Java Spring Boot applications Experience with Docker and containers Automated testing experience Biometrics application development, data integration IT certifications PandoLogic.
