Position Summary The position is responsible for supporting the management of network, enterprise and desktop hardware and software used within the CHEMTREC business infrastructure, including assessment, procurement, configuration, testing, documentation, training, deployment and maintenance. The position also supports the engineering of security best practices for both hardware and software. The position works closely with all levels of employees throughout CHEMTREC and reports directly to the Director, Data and Information Systems. Major Duties and Responsibilities: Applies systems analysis techniques and procedures to effectively manage business infrastructure as it relates to systems including servers, back-up and redundancy, network and associated equipment, workstations, audio/visual services, and multi-function printers. Assists with design, implementation, testing, documentation, and on-going management and maintenance of CHEMTREC systems, technology, information, and procedures that support enterprise-wide functions. Assists with technical planning and prioritization. Evaluates alternatives and provides cost/benefit, supportability, and risk assessments for new software and upgrades. Creates and executes deployment plans for all staff. Assists with the managing of IT security functions as related to our network and the hardware and software applications that are used to access it. Performs analyses of security data to identify potential threats and implementation of tools and processes to minimize risk. Assists with the development of security incident response protocols and maintains the documentation required for compliance with customers' information security agreements. Diagnoses and resolves customer issues and educates users on problem resolution. Creates business cases, project plans and technical procedures. Serves as an interface between TRIM and the Operations Center. Serves on active duty as 24x7 on-call support for CHEMTREC. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Required Bachelor's degree in related technical or business discipline or equivalent experience. Excellent analytical, problem solving, organizational and planning skills. Ability to use independent judgment in evaluating situation/issues. Ability to serve as the project manager from inception to completion for new hardware and product/service implementations. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical customers and employees. Excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills. Ability to work independently on a variety of complex matters simultaneously. Proficiency in Microsoft business applications. Demonstrated knowledge of hardware components for enterprise, network, and desktop devices. Knowledge of database and document management concepts, including information retrieval practices. Knowledge of web-based applications. Ability to work extended business and off-hours as needed. Preferred Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint and Dynamics CRM. Experience working directly with international customers. Knowledge of the chemical and/or transportation industries. Technical certifications in hardware, software, and/or networking. PI135301676
