Working in concert with our foreman and lead technicians, the audio visual technician-2 we select will have overall responsibility for supporting the technical team with their daily tasks. An audio visual technician-2 is an intermediate technical position within the audio visual department, this position is great for candidates with 2-plus years of experience in the electronics and audio visual industry. Other requirements include: Qualifications & Skills: o 2-years (plus) experience integrating large-scale audio visual systems. o General mechanical skills. o Ability to follow directions. o Ability to lift 75lbs. o Cable installation. o Cable termination. o Device installation. o Troubleshooting skills. o General computer skills. o General network skills. o Organizational skills. o Ability to read & understand cabling pull schedules, floor plans, ceiling plans, riser diagrams & line diagrams. o Knowledge of signal flow, audio visual signal types, connector types & terminations. o Knowledge/experience with control/automation system: Crestron, AMX, and Extron. o Knowledge/experience with audio DSP's: QSC, Biamp, Clearone, Symetrix. o Knowledge/experience with digital multi-meters & impedance meters. o Knowledge/experience with digital video/audio transmission and protocols. Additional Skills: o Electronics knowledge is a plus. o Other trade experience is a plus: Electronic security, fire alarm, structured cabling, electrical, etc. o Technical college certificates or degree is a plus. o Industry certifications are a plus: Crestron, AMX, Extron, Biamp, QSC, Clearone, LifeSize, Polycom, Cisco, Infocomm, Etc. This position may require travel and the ability to work nights and/or weekends to meet the project(s) demands.
