Job Description: Residential Business Development Representative Reports to: Regional Sales Manager Department: Corporate/Rockville FLSA Status: Salary; Non-Exempt Date: 4/12/2021 Vision Utilize rapport building skills, outside sales experience, and design skills to meet or exceed showroom sales goals and customer expectations. Build long term relationships with customers. Most importantly will be charged with increasing showroom sales targets year over year. This position will act as new business development for the showrooms. Core Competencies: Excellent verbal and communication skills Ability to negotiate pricing and favorable terms Ability to analyze and problem solve Excellent organization skills including ability to prioritize and multi-task Working knowledge of SFDC and Microsoft Office including how to write up an order, check stock, etc. Ability to maintain positive working relationship with customers and co-workers Maintain a high level of product knowledge for all existing product lines for installation materials and tile Account development skills Job Duties: Sell Tile! Visit Cold leads or Appointment leads outside showroom, 20 contacts per week Call on new business accounts in the Architecture and Design industry that have Residential focus Make sure all the client information is filled in completely in SFDC same day as lead, then converted to Opportunity for new projects same day Set a meeting each week to check-in with Regional Showroom Manager that pending projects are called and complete other action items that need attention. Hot Accounts should be called at least once a week or per negotiated date in SFDC. Assist clients of design consultants within a store as requested-we need to treat all clients seamlessly Provide current week route schedule and next weeks to management as well as summaries of each visit Meet with Regional Showroom Manager on account recaps weekly Attend stock update webinars - summaries of prior week due Saturday by 10am Attend special order vendor product training sessions in Rockville Customer profiles kept current in SFDC, relating to Contacts and Opportunities Return all phone calls within 2 hours Return urgent Emails by the end of the day Prospect for new business by calling your referral network Go to association events and trade shows as assigned, main focus on NARI, NKBA, MBIA or ASID. Also bringing and encouraging showroom design consultants to attend the events as well. Attend Networking Events Wait on customers in the showroom by appointment, as needed and per the Regional Sales Manager Continue your education by learning company procedures and business rules, study the price list and the product lines offered so you can sell from our broad product line. As needed, go to job site visits with installers/builders in order to promote great customer service after installation has occurred, being the hands and feet for Customer service if needed.
