WHO are we looking for? Saft America is looking for an Assistant Controller. In this position, you will assist in the financial management of the Space and Defense Division. Saft is HQ'ed in France, with 4,300 employees in 18 countries. Our manufacturing site in Cockeysville houses the research and development of Saft America's Space and Defense Divisions. What will you DO? . Coordinate month-end close entries. . Manage the Accounts Payable and Payroll staff. Review expense coding to ensure compliance with FAR, GAAP and Sales Tax Laws. Oversee payments to vendors and employees. . Be liaison with DCAA and DCMA for coordination of Indirect Rates and other communications. . Prepare the Incurred Cost Submission each year for DCMA/DCAA. . Be a resource for FAR and Cost Accounting Standards questions. . Coordinate providing year end audit schedules. . Ensure that transactions meet Internal Controls and follow Corporate Guidelines for Authorization Levels. What experience is REQUIRED? . Preferably a CPA or at least extensive work-related experience. . A working knowledge of FAR and Cost Accounting Standards. . Experience in communicating with DCAA / DCMA and preparing Incurred Cost Submission. . Preferably 10 years in Finance Management. Ability to communicate with other department managers to resolve issues and / or provide guidance on compliance. . Experience with integrated ERP accounting system. What is the STATUS of the role? . This will be a salaried, full-time position in Cockeysville, Maryland. Replacing current Assistant Controller who is retiring. . All applicants must be US citizens or green card holders. .
