PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer in Annapolis, MD. PDS Tech is seeking a Lead Software Engineer lto join their Ground Systems and Applications team. The project scope includes providing communication products and services for commercial and business airline customers. The Ground Systems and Applications team develops solutions for a high availability 24x7 global aviation data link network with radios, ground systems, network routers and supporting applications. The candidate will perform full life-cycle software development including eliciting customer and technical requirements; defining architecture; designing system and software solutions; supporting implementation, integration and testing; and finally participating in deployment and troubleshooting of field problems. The candidate will also actively work with members of other teams such as system engineering, network engineering, system acceptance test and implementation teams. Our Linux based software is part of a mission critical aviation communications network where protocols and high availability are integral to the software design.The candidate will develop on multiple applications including: Ground Stations, IPS and ATN Routers. Required Experience: The ideal candidate will possess ten (10) or more years of system software development experience. The ideal candidate will have led teams using disciplined development processes. The ideal candidate must possess excellent writing and verbal communication skills needed to work in a team environment. Desired Skills: Linux, Python, C/C++, Object Oriented Design, Network Protocols Concepts, Data Communications Implementation, and High Availability Design.
