The Compliance Specialist will be responsible for the preparation of initial and annual recertifications for all residents in full compliance with HUD and LIHTC regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Maintain property waiting listCoordinate on-site data collections and processing of resident information Schedule resident recertification interviews Ensure proper calculation of income, assets, rent levels, etc. Coordinate apartment inspections for recertification s Maintain resident files in accordance with company policy & regulatory agency policy Assist office staff on other tasks, including the collection of rent and social activities Assist with the several administrative and leasing tasks Perform other duties that may arise Qualifications: Candidate must be able to be a creative thinker, work in a fast-paced environment, have good attention to detail, and be proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, One-Site Property Management Software, and Internet.The successful candidate should have 2+ years of property management experienceKnowledge of Affordable Housing (LIHTC, Section 8, Section 236), Annual Re-certifications, LIHTC Compliance Regulations, and Leasing. Strong customer service skills. Previous knowledge of Onesite property management software is also preferredEducation:A high school diploma or equivalent is required. The position also requires the ability to read and write English and the ability to accurately perform intermediate mathematical functions. Professional Experience: A minimum of three (2) years of experience in residential property management or a related field is required.Attendance/Travel Requirements:The position requires the ability to work any of the seven days of the week, 52 weeks of the year. Due to the property staffing limitations, it is extremely critical that individuals be able to work their scheduled hours on a consistent basis and, if necessary, overtime hours when requested. Travel may be required at times to attend various owner gatherings either in the general vicinity of the associate's home property or in another state. You must also be able to attend certain resident events that are held after hours.Computer skills: Minimum of basic knowledge of computers Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook and OneSiteIntermediate knowledge of the Internet Learning & Development:Maintain a commitment to ongoing personal development and career growth through career path activities provided through the corporate office and external sources as needed.
