Description Job Description:This program provides operations and sustainment, and special projects for IT user facing services at customer facilities and numerous external locations across the world. The customer's mission to support our warfighters drives our need for relentless customer service. This position will assist in delivering Service Asset and Configuration Management (SACM) services. The position will perform day to day management of warehouse inventory and associated inventory data for the program's warehouses. This position will work in the warehouse at Sterling, VA and Springfield, VA. At times, this position may need to travel to other warehouse facilities. Primary Responsibilities:The Lead will directly manage 15 team members that are virtually dispersed. Daily interaction, monitoring, and quality review. The lead will also be responsible for daily onsite interaction, meeting review, and out briefs to the customer regarding status of the warehouse inventory, status of delivering projects, warehouse metrics, and closure of open action items. Responsibilities:The Warehouse Senior Manager is responsible for maintaining timeliness and accuracy of warehouse inventory data consisting of the accountable property, configuration items and consumable items stored in the program's warehouses, and for consistency of processes and procedures, and tracking practices used. Primary point of contact/leadership for warehouse inventory across all of the program's warehousesWeekly, daily, and monthly briefings to the customer on warehouse statusMetrics monitoring and gathering for: Shipping/Receiving, shipments, and D&DWeekly delivery or adhoc delivery of inventory report to the customer Daily interactions with the Government POCs to ensure updates, presentations, metrics, and closure of open action itemsFrequently reviews warehouse levels to ensure stock meets or exceeds the established threshold levels required for break/fix activity and estimated project (standard and special) requirements.Organize warehouses to optimize use of space and support expeditious response to warehousing requirements required to store and control distribution of equipment, spares, consumables, and warehouse materialsEnsure property and total asset management processes and procedures are used consistently across warehouses. Monitor, train, and ensure all team members are adhering to these policiesApply inventory management and control to maintain timeliness and accuracy of inventory dataPerform continuous evaluation of warehouse stock levels to optimize supply levels and initiate procurement of restock itemsQC and Review data for receiving of shipments, comparison of received equipment against packing slips and procurement documents to ensure accurate intake of new inventory, fast identification and resolution of problems with shipments, and timely and highly accurate updates to inventory levels in the inventory databaseTrack shipping for transfers between warehouses and to external sites to ensure accurate receiving at distant end, and timely and highly accurate decrements to inventory levels in the inventory databasePerform regular spot checks of inventory data at warehouses to ensure accuracy and timeliness and review results of daily local inventory counts conducted by the warehouse staffReview daily shipping and receiving logs for completenessRecommend procurement of equipment, consumables and materials requirements to initiate procurement actionsAid in ensuring rapid collection and filing of receiving documentation to ensure rapid payment to vendors for purchase ordersPerform analytics on inventory data and provide metrics reports from SACM data sources and databasesAid in development of processes/procedures, continuous improvement efforts, and inventory database for warehouse and inventory control practices leading to highly accurate inventory dataDevelop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and training materials for warehouse practicesDetermine and implement corrective actions required to maintain timeliness and accuracy of warehouse dataWork closely with SACM management, Leidos Procurement, Operations and Project Managers to understand customer requirements for equipment and consumablesOther duties may include:Other logistics duties as assigned in response to contract and mission requirements impacting the warehousesEnsure configuration management program conforms to all required US Government and Department of Defense rules and requirements.Overseeing and monitoring the use of the PROVM Database by:Training the warehouse team with procurement and tracking of IT hardware assets utilizing the central tracking database, ProVM. Review and Run reports and quality control checks in the inventory tool that the warehouse team enters into ProVM for accuracy (QC Data checks)Train new users on how to use ProVM Ensure mapping configurations are correct and accurateMaintain process documentation as Configuration Management processes improve/changeAid in program-wide configuration management strategy and execution plan.Aid in Plan and execute Enterprise Lifecycle Management.Develop and maintain program configuration management plan detailing processes and procedures for managing the program's diverse configuration items including complex hardware, software, and documentation.Establish baseline network document control program/filing/retrieval system and document configuration management processes and procedures.Provide artifacts as needed to support Certification and Accreditation for systems and services.Instruct and train other team members and management staff regarding document control and configuration management use and processes.Maintain and enforce configuration control of the established network.Provide recommendations and best-practices to improve existing CM processes and procedures.Ensure configuration management program conforms to all required US Government and Department of Defense rules and requirements.Physical Demands:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision; distance vision; color vision; peripheral vision; depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.Desired Qualifications:Strong data management skills in tools such as Microsoft Excel and/or AccessData Analysis or the ability to find trends, issues, and process improvementsFamiliarity with CostPoint is desired but not requiredBe creative, flexible, and a team playerOrganization is key in this role as individuals are responsible for tracking open action items, and reporting them daily to the Program ManagerPrior experience as a Logistician (eg knowledge of the organization, function and activities involved in providing integrated logistics services)Prior experience in using and producing report from databases, especially inventory or asset management dataBasic Qualifications:Experience with Data AnalyticsStrong Business AcumenExperience gathering customer requirementsProcess Documentation experiencePrevious experience in inventory management, warehouse support, and/or integrated logistics servicesWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and OutlookMust be a US CitizenAn active TS/SCI with ability to obtain Poly is required Candidate must report to work every day Education & Experience:Requires a BA/BS or equivalent experience and 5+ years or prior relevant experience or Masters with 3+ years of prior relevant experience.
