General SummaryGeneral maintenance, installation, and repair of control equipment throughout the facility. All necessary repairs, adjustments, and modifications to York Utility Control System, Simplex Fire System, Pevco Pneumatic Tube System, Public Address System, Nurse Call Systems, Trash and Linen Pneumatic Recovery System, Installed Video Systems including SMATV & CATV, Avtec Kitchen Hood Extinguishing System, Heliport Beacon and Lighting Systems, and other electronic systems within the facility.Essential Duties and Responsibilities* Must be able to read blueprints, electrical and electronic wiring diagrams and troubleshoot installed systems.* Use various electronic testing equipment in the troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions.* Utilize computers in monitoring and repairing installed systems and is able to remotely adjust system parameters.* Maintain the general cleanliness and appearance of assigned spaces and assists the maintenance team as required according to personal qualifications.* Must be fully knowledgeable of the required actions in the event of the loss of any of the regularly supplied utilities services.* Serves as the initial point of contact for the Facilities Department for all the building occupants to report maintenance requirements and inputs these requests into the facility's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).* Assigns urgent and emergency work to the appropriate trade worker(s) and distributes routine work orders to the supervisors or individual trade lead.* Assists staff technicians in monitoring and analyzing the proper operation of the HVAC system (heating, cooling and airflow into all rooms of the hospital).* Reports on abnormal building system conditions to the appropriate supervisor or trade lead.* Makes all necessary changes to work orders in the CMMS and closes work orders upon completion.* Monitors all centrally monitored alarm systems that track power availability, temperature controls, and pressure requirements. Takes the appropriate action necessary when abnormal or alarm conditions occur.Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements* Excellent oral and written communication skills.* Knowledge of computer software programs to include Word, excel, Power Point and Outlook required.* Experience with a Facility Computerized Maintenance Management System software (CMMS) highly desired.* High School Graduate, technical or trade school certificates in related field desired.Work Environment* Must be able to lift 50 lbs., squat, bend, stoop and kneel for short and long periods, climb a ladder, walk or stand for long periods of time, constant arm extensions.* Occasional exposure to elements such as heat, cold, noise, dust, dirt, chemicals, but none to the point of being disagreeable. May involve minor safety hazards where likely result would be cuts, bruises, etc.* Must be able to pass a local background check and have the ability to obtain and maintain NAC/LAC clearance after hire.This job description is subject to change by the employer as the needs of the employer and requirements of the job change.We maintain a drug-free workplace and perform pre-employment substance abuse testing.by Jobble
