Summary

As the Director for Training Operations, you will plan, organize, implement and direct activities associated with customer support in the area of training and employee development programs and policies.

One vacancy will temporarily be filled, to be located in either Washington, DC; Dallas, TX; or Chicago, IL.

Responsibilities

As the Director for Training Operations, you will:
  • Plan, develop, and evaluate the total organizational training functions including operations and make recommendations for improving training and employee development programs and policies.
  • Justify and negotiate current and future requirements for fiscal resources, facilities and personnel required to conduct the Agency's strategic training and employee development program objectives.
  • Oversee the administration and delivery of the OCC National School, External and Group Training sessions as well as the administration and delivery of District new hire orientations, UCE Workshops, and Mandatory Training events.
  • Oversee the Instructor Management program to ensure the OCC has a sufficient number of competent instructors to train the workforce. Oversee the Industry Conference program to ensure agency employee development goals are met.
  • Manage three Learning Centers and lead regular meetings with MidSize/Community Bank Supervision and Large Bank Supervision point of contacts. Oversee the successful planning, delivery and completion of the Training Request Program (TRP) for National Schools.

  • This is a temporary promotion or detail not-to-exceed 1 year. If selected, you will return to your current position and pay when the temporary assignment ends.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days after the closing date of this announcement.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE:

You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the next lower level in the Federal service. To qualify for the NB-VII level, you must have specialized experience equivalent to the next lower level, NB-VI. The experience may have been gained in either the public or private sector. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. An example of specialized experience for this position includes:
  • Experience providing direction and oversight for developing and implementing training and employee development policies, procedures and operations.


The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

  • Total pay cannot exceed applicable pay cap, which is $275,800 for 2021.
