Responsibilities

This position is located in the DEA, Information Technology Systems Division (TC), located in Arlington, VA.

The primary duties are:
  • Serves as the Program Analyst and subject matter expert on procurement and/or program planning and execution analysis processes, reports, systems and techniques; as applied to oversight of assigned directorate Programs and Operations.
  • Serves as a Program Analyst responsible for preparing procurement requests, establishing and administering procurement proposals.
  • Coordinates with HR on routine, high priority, and complex or controversial actions and requests, obtaining advice and recommendations to change or correct problem situations.
  • Provides procurement oversight and strategic direction.
  • Provides guidance on Human Resources requests.

Qualifications

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. GS-12: applicant must possess one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade of GS-11 or equivalent band level of responsibility in the Federal Service which includes experience:

1.) Responsible for executing the procurement processes to acquire Information Technology (IT) hardware, software and IT supplies and materials for the division;
2.) Reviews and analyzes procurement requirements to develop and establish procurement documentation; manages and provides financial oversight of program budgets;
3.) Conducts the internal review and approval process for IT products for the agency;
4.) Serves as the principal advisor on all personnel matters to include liaising with the Human Resources Division
