You will have the opportunity to partner with business customers on driving strategic business direction that leads to sustainable performance and you will be asked to challenge our current well-managed processes to be more proactive, effective and efficient. You will also forecast important business variables, generate monthly/quarterly business reviews, analyze both historical and forecasting results, and make business recommendations. In addition, you will develop methodologies and processes that provide transparency of costs and cost drivers to recipient businesses, and analyze current financial results to identify and address evolving business issues and opportunities. You will perform reporting and analysis to support presentation and ad-hoc requests.The role requires strong communication, problem solving, critical thinking, and influencing skills in order to effectively:Articulate outcomes of analysis and relevant insightsDevelop presentations to communicate business and analysis results to senior audiencesResponsibilities:Develop the Annual Budget, Monthly Financial Forecast and the Long-Term Financial PlanDevelop financial models and analyses to support growth of the business and strategic initiativesAnalyze current and past trends in key performance indicators including areas of revenue, expenses and capital expendituresMonitor performance indicators, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected varianceAnalyze complex financial information and reports to support accurate and timely financial recommendations to management for decision making purposesPrepare monthly, quarterly and annual Reporting and AnalysisIdentify industry trends and insights pertaining to competitor's strategies and/or relative financial performance (eg peer benchmarking)A' Perform ad hoc analysis using data retrievals from internal financial systems and external market databases and package insights into clear and concise presentationsA' Work closely with the business leads to help identify areas and processes for driving efficienciesImplement and work with Business Intelligence Tools and Dashboard reportsBasic Qualifications:A' Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative major (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering)At least 4 years' experience in financial analysis and financial modelingPreferred Qualifications:A' Masters Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or EconomicsA' CTP or CFA or CFM or CPAA' 5+ years of experience in financial analysis and financial modelingAdvanced Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.A' SQL and Python skillsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAt this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.
