Job ID: 217097 *Location: * MCLEAN , VA , US *Date Posted: *2021-05-12 *Category: *Information Technology *Subcategory: *Sys Administrator *Schedule: *Full-time *Shift: *Day Job *Travel: *Yes, 10 % of the Time *Minimum Clearance Required: *TS/SCI with Poly *Clearance Level Must Be Able to Obtain: *None *Potential for Remote Work: *No *Description* SAIC has an immediate opening for a Senior Systems Administrator on an exciting program supporting our nation's national security!A' In this role you will: * ProvideA' support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of Information Technology (IT) systems * ManageA' IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems * ProvideA' support to IT systems including day-to-day operations, monitoring and problem resolution for all of theA' client/server/storage/network devices, mobile devices, etc * ProvideA' Tier 1 (Help Desk) and Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems * Configure and manageA' Linux and Windows operating systems and install/loadA' operating system software, troubleshoot, andA' maintainA' integrity and configureA' network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance * Support the design of systems, mission architecture and associated hardware * Analyze and resolve complex problems associated with server hardware, applications and software integration * HandleA' IT Infrastructure operations forA' multiple work locations and networks as measured by operational uptime/reliability, performance, and compliance * Monitor, diagnose, and troubleshootA' network firewalls, switches, routers, VoIP Phones and other associated network hardware and software * Provide infrastructure support for other IT-related services, eg AV and VTC, as required * Maintain full awareness of Security, Regulatory, and Corporate policies/compliance requirements, interpreting and managing implementations of technology in support of those controls * PerformA' and provideA' proactive assessments and testing/validation of controls against requirements to provide continuous assurance *Qualifications* * Bachelor's and nine (9) years or more of relevant technical experience;A' additional experience may be considered in lieu of a degree * Experience administering and managing deployments of Linux and Windows Servers and Workstations * Experience managing Identity and Authentication solutions * Demonstrated knowledge/experience working with: * VMWare * Cisco - Routers, Firewalls & Switches * Juniper - Routers & Firewalls * AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platforms * MySQL Database * Various VPN technologies * Demonstrated understanding of cybersecurity * Ability to work in a largely self-directed environment, and demonstrated flexibility to perform duties outside of the traditional network/systems administration role * Current TS/SCI and Poly SAIC is a premier technology integrator solving our nation's modernization and readiness challenges.
