The Human Resources Group aligns policies, procedures, and activities with AARP's mission and strategic priorities. Summary
The Human Resources Change and Adoption Senior Advsior develops and implements employee-focused change management strategies, meant to improve organizational effectiveness and drive business results through thoughtful use of employee resources. The Human Resources Change and Adoption Senior Advsior ensures new or changed HR processes, services and/or products are released to HR clients and communities to an extremely high quality standard ensuring efficient and optimal adoption. The HR change and adoption manager reports to the Vice President of Org Design & Integration; works closely with the Chief Human Resources Officer and other HR Leadership Team members.
Responsibilities
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field
Experience: 6+ years relevant working experience, including experience in successfully managing projects, writing content and compiling reports for senior leadership and Boards. Certifications in change management, project management or a Human Resources a plus.
Competencies/Knowledge/Skills:
Effective interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills. Proficient at building cross-functional relationships with a focus on collaboration and partnership. Ability to flex based on the needs of the project, stakeholders, internal/external influencers, etc. Proven ability to coordinate and manage project initiatives. Creative in solving problems, finding alternative solutions, and delivering results. Strong presentation and facilitation skills. Research and analytical skills; capable of sifting through complex information and present conclusions. Proficient in MS office suite (Project, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.). Tableau and other visual presentation reporting tools a plus.

Responsibilities
- Establishes and implements a best practice HR release, change, adoption and problem solving management system
- Oversees the development of the HR's change and adoption management policy and process and communications protocols
- Executes on the HR change and adoption management process, reviewing HR changes, managing communications, and leading adoption checklist reviews (training, system changes, guidance and engagement strategies).
- Works with HR leadership to determine communication and adoption plans, and training and development programs.
- Engages senior management in the communication of changes to employees. Lead on ensuring high standards of communication to promote oneHR brand.
- Drafts, reviews and edits high-quality visual and narrative content, ability to write compelling content, with clear and consistent information.
- Works closely with the team's people analytics resource to ensure communications include relevant and compelling data, metrics and analysis
- Maintains a release and communications schedule and manages key information (change and adoption policy, procedure, communication process calendar and repository.)
