SAIC provides specialized analysis, engineering, design, and operations support to a variety of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) customers. We support development of next generation and generation after next national security systems based on land, at sea, in air, and in space. SAIC has an opening for Communications Systems Engineer to provide systems engineering and technical advisory services to an IC research and development (R&D) customer. The customer is developing next generation hardware, software, and architectural solutions for the IC.A' Responsibilities include but are not limited to: A cents € cents A' A' A' Provide technical reviews and assessment of networking, space communication, secure communication, and cyber defense technology development efforts. Efforts include studies and hardware/firmware/software development at the component, subsystem, system and architecture level, including electronics, antenna, and waveform development A cents € cents A' A' A' Identify technology gaps, craft technology development and transition plans, devise concepts of operation, and define requirements and specifications A cents € cents A' A' A' Conduct technical outreach with potential users of new communications technology A cents € cents A' A' A' Develop documents and briefings to communicate program status and strategic planning and to brief government personnel as required A cents € cents A' A' A' Provide support to programmatic, acquisition, and source selection processes as needed *Qualifications* * Bachelor's degree in engineering, physics, or related discipline * 14+A' years of related work experience, with 5 years of networking, space data architecture, device security monitoring, communication waveform, and/or cyber defense technical experience * Experience with USG program management, acquisition lifecycle, processes, and documentation * Strong interpersonal skills with effective briefing and writing skills * Demonstrated ability to work in a fast paced, dynamic and energetic environment as part of a team * Strong working knowledge of MS Office application * Current TS/SCI clearance w/Poly *Desired Qualifications:* * Master's degree in engineering, physics, or related discipline * Space communications experience * 1 year of experience with USG R&D acquisition lifecycle, processes, and documentation * Technical experience with commercial communication products and/or wireless network engineering A' SAIC is a premier technology integrator solving our nation's modernization and readiness challenges.
