The candidate for this position works within our Cybersecurity Infrastructure environment, providing implementation and administration of Security Operations and security-related activities to secure and harden systems. The candidate for this position:Uses defensive measures and information collected from a variety of sources to identify, analyze, and report events that occur or may occur within the network in order to protect information, information systems, and networks from threatsUtilizes available resources to conduct Cybersecurity activities, and reports to senior GDIT and government personnel on overall program security postureConducts network and system audits for vulnerabilities using Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIG) and associated network operating systemsEnsures the integrity and protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies through monitoring of vulnerability scanning devicesProvides guidance and work leadership to less-experienced technical staff membersMaintains current knowledge of relevant technology as assignedParticipates in special projects as requiredExperience Requirements:Minimum of 5 years of experience in management of group settings, client relationship management and Cyber Security (ie, federal sys cyber security, FISMA, NIST Cybersecurity Framework, Microsoft 365 Security and Compliance)Excellent facilitation, interpersonal, communication and client management skills are requiredMust possess professional training or equivalent experience in one of the following types of disciplines:process analysisfacilitationInterest-Based Problem Solvingperformance measuresproject managementpersonnel transition planningquality assuranceRequired Skills:Consult with program managers to identify, diagnose, and problem-solve organizational effectiveness problems and solutions through the use of group dynamicsCoordinate and manage multi-stakeholder outputs and inputs to enhance organizational behavior through the management of information, communication, behavior, and logisticsStrategic consulting services to align meeting outputs to desired outcomesEnterprise strategic systems planning, enterprise information planning and business area analysisProcess and data modeling in support of the planning and analysis efforts using both manual and automated toolsEducation/Experience Requirements:Requires a Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience from an accredited university or collegeWork Location:The work location for this position is at 77 K Street, NE, Suite 1000, Washington, DC 20002Public Trust: Active Favorably Adjudicated US Government background investigation (T1 minimum)Scheduled Weekly Hours:40Travel Required:Less than 10%Telecommuting Options:Some Telecommuting AllowedWork Location:USA DC WashingtonAdditional Work Locations:We are GDIT.
