Description: Job Title: Delivery Driver / Warehouse Worker Location: Alexandria, VA Department: Operations Reports To: Warehouse Manager FLSA Status: Full-time or Part-Time and Non-exempt Hourly Pay: $16+ Job purpose The warehouse worker will receive and dispatch merchandise to and from our warehouse. The Warehouse Worker will load and unload outgoing and incoming delivery vehicles. You will select products from the warehouse, load and secure goods to pallets, move inventory to delivery area, and load merchandise. You will unload stock from delivery vehicles to customer locations, as well as to transport to and store in designated warehouse positions. You will keep your work environment clean and tidy at all times, and comply with all relevant safety rules, regulations, policies and procedures. Requirements: Skills and Qualifications High school diploma, GED, or equivalent Work experience as general laborer, preferably in warehouse Demonstrable, varied experience as a Warehouse Driver. Customer-oriented, communicative, and efficient. Good driving history. DOT Certifiable Knowledgeable about relevant vehicle weight restrictions. Impeccable coordination techniques. 18 years of age or older. Working conditions Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment where exposure to moving mechanical parts, sharp cutting tools, dust, fumes and airborne particles, temperature extremes and elevated noise level. Must be available to work extended hours Physical requirements Heavy work: Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Climbing: Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like, using feet and legs and/or hands and arms. Body agility is emphasized.
