Summary

As the Director for Bank Supervision Policy (BSP) Operations and Administration, you will serve as a manager and expert advisor to the Senior Deputy Comptroller (SDC) for BSP and provide counsel on major issues and policy development, represent the BSP SDC on operational matters, manage programs, and supervise staff.

Responsibilities

As the Director for BSP Operations and Administration, you will:
  • Manage a staff of professional and administrative personnel responsible for the management of the BSP budget, staffing, workforce planning, real estate and space planning, process improvement, the quality assurance program (administrative), change management, succession planning, and execution of operational and administrative functions throughout BSP.
  • Work closely with BSP senior management to establish short-term and long-term term budget and staffing needs and to ensure efficient operations of BSP.
  • Lead, motivate and develop a staff of employees, as well as plan work to be accomplished, assign work to be accomplished, and set and adjust priorities as needed.
  • Provide input on proposed OCC staffing, administrative, financial, and operational policies and coordinate the development of related procedures and processes.
  • Consult with Human Capital regarding a wide range of human capital programs including: strategic staffing and recruitment strategies, workforce planning, and succession planning.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 calendar days after the closing date of this announcement:

You must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the NB-VI band level. Examples of specialized experience for this position include:
  • Experience serving as an advisor or consultant to senior management on operational and administrative programs, policies, processes, and issues: (areas may include financial management, human resources management, information technology, workforce planning, real estate & space planning, etc.) AND
  • Experience developing, implementing and executing operational and administrative programs, policies, procedures, and/or initiatives to meet organizational needs and accomplish program objectives.

The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector, or through volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.

Additional information

• Total pay cannot exceed applicable pay cap, which is $275,800 for 2021.
• Salary range includes 22.26% geographical pay.
