Generate monthly financial reports to include key metrics, financial results and variance reporting to the Board of Directors and the Board's Asset Liability Management Committee. Supporting, working and coordinating with internal and external auditors, and NCUA examiners for the purpose of conforming to proper regulatory and GAAP compliant principles and practices. Assisting in the recommendation and implementation of loan and share rate adjustments. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESParticipate in investment portfolio management. Prepare all documentation for purchases and sales of investments including tracking purchase transactions, creating authorization forms, obtaining pre-purchase analysis, entering purchases into the FHLB online system and providing trade tickets to bond accounting provider. Perform reviews of broker/dealer relationships as required by the Investment Policy.Assist in the calculation of the monthly allowance for loan loss account as prescribed by the ALL Policy. Help with the transition of the current calculation methodology from an excel based model to a vendor approved software model in order to gain accuracy and improve efficiency. Support the transition of the ALL calculation to the new CECL methodology scheduled to go into effect January of 2023. Monitor the credit union's financial performance and complete relevant analysis and reports for Board reporting.Support the annual budget process through the collection of departmental and other data and assist in the creation of key assumption drivers. This would include developing the budget for loans, deposits, and investments and related interest and noninterest income and expense based on a variety of factors including credit union objectives and expected economic conditions.Track performance to established ALM Policy limits and adjust reporting to conform to any policy limit changes or new regulations. Participate in ALM Committee meetings including preparing and presenting reports as needed for the committee.Ensure that work results and processes comply with relevant laws and with established NIHFCU policies, procedures, and practices, including, but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).Provide leadership through personal actions and day-to-day management practices that support NIHFCU's values. . Requirements: EDUCATION & EXPERIENCEMinimum of 5 years of progressive financial analysis experience with at least 3 years of experience in the financial services industry preferably within a credit union environment.Experience in purchasing and analyzing investment securities. Good understanding of asset-liability management.Experience calculating loan loss account - ALL- Allowance for loan loss.Advanced degree in accounting, business, finance, economics, or other applicable field preferred.Advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office products. Strong attention to detail and the ability to effectively review and provide an accurate, well-organized deliverable in a time-conscious fashion.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to concisely communicate statistical information.Ability to multi task and handle multiple high-priority projects on schedule under tight deadlines.
