About the Role - We are looking for an experienced sales professional to lead the Publishing Office's sales and customer service efforts. The successful candidate will act as the brand ambassador of ASHP's drug information products and services. This is a highly strategic and collaborative role and ideal for someone with entrepreneurial drive and strong customer relations skills. Top 5 Duties: Act as a brand ambassador of ASHP drug information products and services in the US and international market Document and report on progress of sales/renewals, including annual budgeting and monthly forecasting using Salesforce Manage customer relationships and conduct quarterly business reviews Negotiate and renew license agreements Manage business and pricing models; pricing calculators; contract templates, and any other sales-related documentation COVID-19 Precautions : Remote work through July 1, 2021 Virtual interview process and meetings Personal protective equipment provided or required Health and temperature screenings Social distancing guidelines in place Sanitizing, disinfecting, or cleaning procedures in place Job Title : Manager, Licensing and Business Development Reports to : Director, Publishing Operations Job Summary : Responsible for renewals/(up)sales and new sales/business development of ASHP drug information and other clinical products and services. This position will act as the brand ambassador of ASHP drug information in the US and international market and as main contact point at ASHP for drug information customers; manages full sales cycle; account/client relationships management; manages accounts, opportunities, and products in Salesforce; reports on progress and forecasts sales of ASHP drug information; assists ASHP Publishing Office with business administration and intelligence tasks including budgeting, reporting, and forecasting. Major Job Duties and Responsibilities : Maintains relationships with current customers/accounts and monitors and acts to address customer satisfaction, needs/goals/pain points of customers. Organizes quarterly business reviews with customers. Proactively and systematically renews agreements to retain business and upsell other ASHP drug information products and services. Identifies and systematically pursues new opportunities for sales/licensing of ASHP drug information products and services. Prospects in all relevant market segments and travels to trade shows/conventions to meet with current customers and prospects. Documents and maintains all customer/account information in Salesforce and sets up reporting to monitor sales pipeline. Works with the Vice President, ASHP Publishing Office and Director, Publishing Operations to set sales targets and determine strategic communication initiatives targeting prospective and existing customers. Establishes and maintains systematic communications with existing and prospective customers. Proposes and conducts strategic campaigns to generate leads and achieve or exceed budgeted sales. Educates customers about new features and content updates. Coordinates trial access/use of Application Programing Interfaces (APIs). Conducts webinars and other demonstrations as appropriate to assist in lead generation and training. Shares market intelligence gained from customer communications with appropriate individuals within ASHP. Works with ASHP attorneys and Vice President, ASHP Publishing Office and Director, Publishing Operations to review and negotiate agreements. Works closely with the Director of Publishing Operations and Director of Clinical Informatics to develop ASHP's data products offering. Manages business and pricing models; pricing calculators; contract templates, and any other sales related documentation. Triages and answers inquiries concerning ASHP's drug information content and data. Performs other duties as assigned including assisting the ASHP Publishing Office with business administration and intelligence tasks including budgeting, reporting, and forecasting. Updates and maintains product information on drug information sites and customer-facing product documentation. Preforms other duties as assigned. Qualifications : Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent, preferably in scientific/medical field. Minimum of five years of sales experience. Experience in medical/pharmaceutical market. Experience in client relationship management. Strong organizational and planning skills. Demonstrated success selling clinical products. Good listener. Commercial acumen. Extremely client-focused attitude. Ability to work with others in the organization to address customer needs. Gravitas and presence to be effective in communicating with Senior Leadership. Knowledge of Salesforce. Knowledge of drug information market nationally and internationally. Customer Centric Selling or other sales methodology.
