Principal Coordinator, Executive Recruiting

The Executive Recruiting team is a small team within our Talent Acquisition organization focused on hiring executives across the enterprise at Capital One. We are looking for a coordinator to join the team to support the Executive Recruiters with operational logistics.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Partner with executive recruiters to manage recruiting process
  • Facilitate candidate onsite/virtual interview days at Capital One (covering multiple sites), escorting/host candidates to interviews and ensuring a positive recruiting experience.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business participants and administrative professionals
  • Act as primary point of contact for the executive; liaise with direct reports, executive leadership team, and other executive assistants.
  • Exercise proactive, detailed and accurate calendar management for the executive with minimal direction.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports and presentations.
  • Manage electronic and hard paper files for the executive.
  • Effectively prioritize incoming communications and requests such as phone inquiries, e-mail and in-person requests.
  • Coordinate and manage business travel for the executive (post COVID).
  • Manage confidential files and other privileged information, ensuring integrity of recruiting compliance requirements


Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree OR military experience


Preferred Qualifications
  • At least 2 years experience part-time or full-time, in a corporate environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office or G Suite
  • Superior time management, organization and prioritization skills
  • Proven capability to work independently and with recruiters at other Capital One sites
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with candidates, internal clients and hiring managers at all levels
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication, negotiation and influence skills
  • Exhibit a high level of personal ownership and confidentiality
  • Ability to quickly and effectively adapt to change
  • Proven problem solving, analytical and decision making skills
  • Ability to embrace new systems and process enhancements
  • Willingness to work flexible hours due to varying needs within the recruiting organization
  • Previous recruiting experience or project coordinator experience a plus
