General Dynamics Information Technology is currently looking for a Finance Director to join our team. This position will serve as the primary functional liaison with IT for Finance & Accounting, responsible for the leadership and prioritization of IT projects, functional requirements gathering, project execution and post-completion support. This role will partner with IT to drive digital transformation and technology infusions. The role will also support the day-to-day coordination of the entire portfolio of finance applications, including the Oracle Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Financial Planning systems, source systems (eg timekeeping and expense management systems) and support systems (eg, source-to-pay and Workday systems). A successful candidate for this role will have a strong understanding of GDIT's business, a collaborative and agile attitude, and an ability to balance a forward-leaning mindset with the existing business framework. The role requires general knowledge of new and emerging technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Robotics Process Automation (RPA), blockchain, automation and data analytics/visualization and the ability to envision their application to Finance. The expectation is that this knowledge would deepen and develop over time. The role also demands a detailed understanding of the multitude of current finance applications, the interdependencies within those applications and capability/development gaps for optimization of systems and staff to scale the business needs of a growing organization. **During COVID restrictions, the position is remote, but once restrictions are lifted, this role is based in our 3150 Fairview Park, Falls Church, Virginia location.** Functional lead for the Record to Report Value Stream, which manages the entire financial cycle from cost accumulation to reporting. Role will provide support to other value streams where required. Works across all facets of Finance - direct and indirect business analysis, division finance, reporting, transactional, compliance, etc. Assess current state of technology and automation across finance function Develop and deliver a medium-term (3-5 year) Oracle ERP and Financial Planning system road map and strategy to address Finance business drivers and IT considerations and constraints Assess opportunities for RPA and AI uses Lead Finance representative for enterprise data initiatives; represent Finance stakeholders across the enterprise Ensure appropriate project governance to promote accountability and transparency; develop business cases as appropriate Implement data visualization tools Partner with IT and Supply Chain to drive relationships with key outside vendors such as Oracle To be considered for this role, candidates must have the following: Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or Management Information Systems plus five (5) years related experience OR nine (9) years related experience in lieu of the degree; Experience planning, directing, and managing complex projects (specific project management experience/certification helpful); Ability to think strategically about future business trends and how technology can advance those trends; Ability to direct governance activities, including overseeing requirements intake, business case development, stakeholder management, and employing executive level influence to drive outcomes; Highly proficient written and oral communications Attention to detail as well as big picture view; Focus on critical path items.
