POSITION PURPOSE This is the lead human resources management position in the organization responsible for the strategic, operational, and tactical leadership of Human Resources to effectively support organizational goals. Responsibilities include the management, oversight and implementation of HR policies, programs and functions involving talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, performance management, talent management, training/staff development, human resources information systems, equal employment opportunity and fairness, employee relations and employer compliance. This role functions in a global environment overseeing HR policies and programs that apply to all CASE locations. The individual who serves in this role is an advisor to management on HR issues and organizational development strategies. This position will partner with others to foster collaboration, respect, diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, in the workplace environment to evolve CASE's culture in how we pursue our mission. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS The core functions of this position include but are not limited to the following: Develops, drives, and implements the organization's human resources and organizational development strategies, policies, programs, and practices, ie those that are global and apply to all CASE locations. Ensures alignment of activities that help attract, on-board, retain, manage and reward the performance and development of a workforce capable of effectively executing organizational strategy. Partners with and leads effective communications with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) and Regional Directors globally on HR strategy, policies, and programs. Plays a key role in the organization's internal diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives. Champions a workplace culture of excellence, integrity, accountability, transparency, openness, innovation, and leadership. Counsels, guides, and educates managers and employees regarding HR policy interpretation, performance improvement and career development. Directs programs to ensure that all HR functions are administered consistent with best practices, quality service, and customer satisfaction. Leads talent acquisition efforts, working with hiring supervisors to source and attract the best talent for CASE. Develops and administers effective compensation and benefit programs that reward employees for achieving individual, team and organizational goals. Prepares materials required by ELT and/or the Board of Directors' approval related to human resources and/or governance-based fiduciary responsibilities relative to health, welfare, and retirement plans. Manages the performance management program across the organization to ensure that organizational goals are achieved through enhanced staff performance, motivation, and commitment to the mission and values. Resolves workplace issues through an active employee relations program, committed to early resolution of problems, and an appropriate balance of transparency and confidentiality. Participates in the organizational budgeting process regarding salary and benefit costs, balancing competitiveness and cost control variables. Responsible for the maintenance of records and HR information systems globally concerning employee information/data such as new hires, transfers, terminations, promotions, compensation, and other relevant human capital data. Manages external vendors, suppliers and consultants who support the organization's human resources initiatives in recruitment, compensation, benefits, HRIS, legal, etc. Ensures compliance with HR policies/procedures local and national regulations and requirements where CASE operates; interacts with legal counsel as needed. Surveys and monitors the labor market regularly to ensure compensation and benefit programs are competitive, retaining staff, and enhancing CASE in the marketplace as a premier organization. Serves on the Senior Leadership Team Steering Committee and the Employee Benefits Committee. Supervises one full-time staff member in the US and oversees HR initiatives across CASE regions. Oversees the associations internal talent management program. Manages specific project assignments, as needed. Requirements POSITION REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or related field; Master's degree preferred. SPHR or PHR and/or SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP certification strongly preferred. Fifteen years of management/leadership experience, of which a minimum of 10 years includes progressively responsible human resources leadership experience. Non-profit HR experience and/or global HR experience preferred. Experience in working across international HR and an interest in advancing education. Considerable knowledge of various HRIS systems and platforms. Experience at the senior leadership level in an organization. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Self-motivated, results oriented service orientation with a sharp sense of urgency. Agility in working at the strategic, operational and tactical level of the HR profession. A proven leader with high integrity and strong business and financial skills. Resourceful, combining strong HR abilities with good overall management acumen.
