Summary

This position is located at the Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), Associate Director- Management, Office of Human Resources (OHR), Policy, Accountability and Analytics Division (PAAD). The BEP Office of Human Resources Policy Division is responsible for developing and implementing agency specific policies and procedures for record management procedures. As well as developing and implementing OHR accountability/internal review programs/projects.

Responsibilities

As a Human Resources Specialist (Compensation), you will:
  • Serve as the Bureau of Engraving and Printing expert on compensation.
  • Work with key internal and external stakeholders to develop appropriate compensation strategies.
  • Conduct studies to determine validity of special salary requests (i.e., recruitment, retention, and relocation incentives, special salary rates, advance in hire matrixes, etc.) within a BEP metropolitan area.
  • Gather and analyze salary and occupation related data from other federal agencies, private sector institutions, professional societies, etc., to determine what local market or representative salary rates are in order to conduct compensation studies and trends analyses for similar positions.
  • Work directly with Treasury in establishing rapport and cooperation with, offering jobs to, screening and employing applicants for various prevailing wage rate positions within BEP.

SUITABILITY, CLEARANCE & REQUIREMENTS: A background investigation will be required for all new hires. The background investigation process conducted by the Bureau of Engraving and Printing is very thorough. Falsification discovered in security documents or during the background investigation process may result in an immediate negative suitability determination or immediate revocation of your interim clearance (if applicable).

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement.

Specialized experience:For the GS-14, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes:

-Developing employee compensation programs and preparing a wide range of employee compensation program guidance; AND
-Analyzing, interpreting, and researching compensation data to identify, summarize, and report trends; AND
-Providing compensation program advisory services to stakeholders or upper management officials of an organization.

In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14, you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:

- A one year probationary period may be required.
- Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.
- Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
