Cordia's client is hiring a Director, Human Resources to lead, maintain and enhance human capital by planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources policies, programs, and practices. This is a strategic and role with high visibility. We are looking for someone who can help build out our HR practice through the implementation of various processes/procedures, aid in employee relations/retention, manage benefits, and lead various team building activities. We are looking for a seasoned, team-oriented professional from a software technology company background who has the confidence and desire to excel in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities: * Define KPIs and metrics for successful HR function * Ensures legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; maintaining records * Drive talent acquisition through strategic workforce planning * Recommends changes to reduce employee attrition and improve morale * Maintains a pay plan by conducting periodic pay surveys; scheduling and conducting job evaluations; preparing pay budgets; monitoring and scheduling individual pay actions; recommending, planning, and implementing pay structure revisions. * Ensures planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors. * Prepares employees for assignments by establishing and conducting orientation and overseeing training programs. * Lead various team-building activities and serve as the face of the culture * Maintains employee benefits programs and informs employees of benefits by studying and assessing benefit needs and trends; recommending benefit programs to management; directing the processing of benefit claims; obtaining and evaluating benefit contract bids; awarding benefit contracts; designing and conducting educational programs on benefit programs. * Maintains management guidelines by preparing, updating, and recommending human resource policies and procedures. * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies. * Maintains human resource staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees. * Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree required, PHR/SPHR/SHRM-CP certification preferred * 7-10+ years experience and 5+ years human resource leadership experience * Experience with hiring, human resources management, benefits administration, performance management, communication processes, compensation and wage structure, supports diversity, classifying employees, employment law * Proficient in HRIS systems, Microsoft office skills: Excel, Word, Outlook * Excellent written and verbal communication skills
