Dewberry is currently seeking an Systems Analyst/Applications Developer to become part of our Information Technology Group in Fairfax, VA. This individual will provide functional and technical support for enterprise legacy applications and NextGen cloud implementations.

In this position, the Systems Analyst/Applications Developer will help develop an application mapping strategy across corporate applications (ERP, HRIS, CRM). An understanding of corporate applications alignment to business goals and objectives is necessary to support our digital transformation assessment.

While functioning as part of a cohesive application development team, this person must also be able to work independently with internal end users to assist them with their functional and technical processing and issues.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the application life cycle management framework and have the opportunity to support development projects while developing skills to plan and design solutions, develop database schemas and analysis methods needed to support project goals.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with project teams and end users to identify application requirements
  • Research, test, build, and coordinate the conversion and/or integration of applications based on client requirements
  • Application support includes analyzing, designing, coding, testing, and implementing application enhancements, troubleshooting (brownstone support), integrations
  • Build and invoke web APIs to integrate with various systems that are used across the organization such as xxGoogle AI, xxsocial media platforms, xxHR management systems, xxfinance systems, etc.
  • Quickly learn the latest cutting-edge technology to integrate into various business applications
  • Triage and troubleshoot production issues and provide ongoing support to various business applications.
  • SQL specific skills include: skills performance tuning, queries, reporting services, integration services, development and data retrieval, stored procedures


Required Skills & Required Experience

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree in a related IT field
  • Minimum of 3-5 years' experience in IT programming and support and demonstrated hands-on experience and/or training in areas of emerging technologies
  • Solid foundation and passion for technology.
  • Effective communicator, both technical and non-technical topics with people of all levels.
  • Effective problem solver and results focused.


Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency with programming languages such as SQL, C#, VB.NET, Microsoft stack, etc.
  • Prior experience with enterprise systems including CRM, HRIS, ERP and their corresponding business domain knowledge
  • Preferred experience developing integrations using REST APIs.
