Responsibilities

The Supervisory Information Technology Specialist, Enterprise Architecture and Information Security (Entarch/Infosec) directs the development and execution of enterprise architecture guidance, policies, standards, approaches and methodologies and oversees staff activities in support of the agency's software development, information assurance, information security, network operations, technology investments and modernization initiatives.

Duties include but are not limited to the following:
  • Providing technical leadership, management and coordination of all facets and functions of major technical programs involving life cycle software acquisition.
  • Developing strategic plans, conceptualizes, synthesizes, integrates and assimilates a wide range of technical, financial, programmatic and business operational programs and requirements.
  • Serving as the Enterprise Architect for all cross-cutting initiatives and portfolio management efforts.
  • Serving as Chief Technology Officer (CTO)
  • Representing the agency as an expert on various Departmental and government workgroups and boards in the Enterprise Architecture and Cybersecurity fields.
  • Evaluating the effectiveness of operations supervised in terms of mission accomplishment, quality and quantity standards, procedural, policy and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

In order to qualify for the Supervisory Information Technology Specialist (ENTARCH/INFOSEC) position, you must meet the following minimum qualifications:

FOR THE GS-15 LEVEL:

Experience Requirements:
You must have IT-related experience in each of the following four competencies listed below which must be supported by the information contained in your resume and other application materials.
  • Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.

AND

Specialized Experience:
Applicants must have at least one or more full-time years (12-months) of specialized work experience, equivalent to at least the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service, performing the following duties:
  • Providing administrative and policy oversight to all IT technical activities, such as, development of IT and security policies, technical and strategic plans, design and engineering plans, and systems and network integration plans;
  • Analyzing and assessing current and emerging software technologies and IT developments for possible new business processes and system or security changes;
  • Supervising the activities of staff engaged in carrying out assigned IT functions; and
  • Assisting with developing and implementing policies and procedures to ensure quality products and services.

    Conditions of Employment: Only U.S. Citizens or Nationals are eligible for employment with the Executive Office for Immigration Review. Dual citizens of the U.S. and another country will be considered on a case-by-case basis. All DOJ applicants, both U.S. citizens and non-citizens, whose job location is with the U.S., must meet the residency requirement.
