Established local construction company is looking for an experienced Commercial Construction Estimator willing to work on a part-time/as needed basis. Scheduled work days and hours are flexible as long as critical deadlines are met. DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum 5 years construction estimating experience. Excellent computer skills including proficiency with Word, Excel, and Outlook. Practical knowledge and experience utilizing estimating software/technology platform(s). Excellent communication skills (verbal & written) and people skills are a must. Strong work ethic, team player, ability to work with minimal supervision. Ability to work in a fast paced environment with concurrent projects and aggressive deadlines. Exceptional problem solving, organizational, and time management skills with high level of attention to detail. COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: Competitive Hourly Rate Dependent Upon Experience Travel And Expense Reimbursement Vision, Dental, & Medical Insurance Available Job Requirements:CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR RESPONSBILITIES: Participate in pre-bid walk throughs and meetings, including compiling walk through notes and taking pictures of the project. Coordinate quantity take-off, highlight job specifics including phasing, details, jobsite conditions, etc. Review job specifications, drawings, schedules, and other documents to prepare accurate scope and pricing. Accurately prepare timely estimates, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontractors. Write detailed scopes of work for construction contracts to be implemented by the field operations team. Create preliminary construction schedules. Coordinate the scopes of work of multiple trades to ensure nothing is missed for the project team.
