Processing expense reports, updating and reconciling sub-ledger to G/L, processing checks, resolving A/P issues, and matching, batching, and coding invoices are just a few of the responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Clerk. Located in Arlington, Virginia, the Accounts Payable Clerk will be a short-term temporary opening.Responsibilities- Sort, log, scan, and file invoices, checks, and other documents- Support the AP/Finance Department by completing administrative tasks- Accurately execute daily processes and controls in a timely manner while ensuring company policies are followed- Conduct full-cycle A/P- Manage validating, recording, and mailing checks and expedite special handling- Assist internal business partners with any customer services needs- Execute additional tasks as needed- Manage department mail by opening, sorting, and distributing it on a daily basis- Help with internal and external audits as requiredJob Requirements:- Great attention to detail- AA or BS/BA degree in Accounting, Business or similar preferred- Microsoft Excel experience preferred- Comprehensive knowledge of Accounts Payable (AP)- Expertise in SAP- Account reconciliation experience- Experience with journal entries- Prior experience in an A/P role preferred- Spreadsheet and database capabilities- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills, especially when interacting with those in the technical and financial backgroundsAccountemps, a Robert Half Company, matches skilled accounting and finance professionals with remote or on-site jobs on a temporary and temporary-to-hire basis.
