The Opportunity TEGNA, Inc. is seeking a Director of Finance to become a part of Corporate FP&A organization. Major responsibilities include providing leadership for the financial operations for our TV stations. This individual will report to our VP of Finance, Operations. Specifically, this role has responsibility for working closely with the field finance teams, as well as senior executive management within TEGNA. This role should have experience in working in a broadcast company, can work in multiple financial systems, proven experience improving operational performance, and have a strong foundation in budgeting, forecasting and reporting. Responsibilities:Serves as the primary representative for the field finance team regarding operational and financial matters.Support the monthly financial forecast process through detailed expenses analysis of the stations.Provide analysis of monthly TV station results and summarize these results for Senior Executives.Leads the integration of new businesses into the TEGNA portfolio and provides a bridge between M&A and Operations. Maintains all synergy tracking of newly acquired stations and provides regular updates to Senior Leadership.Work with the field finance team on budget materials, deliverables, and ad-hoc analysis as needed.Supports expense initiatives and tracking of these initiatives for Senior Leadership.Supports the field with audit requests for both internal and external auditors.Participates in other special projects, as needed.Build strong working relationships with other finance leaders within TEGNA. Requirements:5- 10 years in a management role with significant broadcast media company experience required.Bachelor's degree in Accounting and/or Finance is required; an advanced degree, CPA, CMA or MBA preferred.Expertise and a proven track record of exceeding goals and evidence of the ability to continually make good decisions based on analysis, experience and judgment.Strong analytical and problem resolution skills and experience in managing a wide range of projects with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, iterative environment.Strong interpersonal and communication skills with proven ability to collaborate across different teams. Proven ability to be organized and responsive to various levels within the organization.Ability to drive project plans and meet short/long-term deadlines. About TEGNA TEGNA Inc.
