Senior Principle Linux System Engineer Cybersecurity & Special Missions (CSM) provides cybersecurity and advanced intelligence solutions that strengthen our global customers' critical infrastructures, information systems and mission. Raytheon is supporting a customer on a medium-sized mission critical development and sustainment program to design, build, deliver, and operate a network operations environment; including introducing new cyber capabilities to address emerging threats. In support of the customer's strategic direction, Raytheon is looking for individuals who can support the protection of the customer environment. To that end, we are seeking a Subject Matter Expert, Senior Linux System Engineer and Administrator for work in a hybrid environment. The candidate should possess expert level RHEL/UBUNTU/Debian Linux skills and able to work in both physical and virtual (VMWare and cloud platforms (AWS, AZURE etc.). Work is performed in a fast paced, team oriented, flexible non-traditional environment that offers engineers tremendous autonomy in solutions and designs. Must have Top Secret/SCI clearance with Polygraph. Excellent shell scripting (Bourne/BASH) skills. Experience with Python programming and scripting. Proven knowledge and experience with Linux system security configurations and principles (CEH/CISSP) or similar knowledge and experience. Knowledge of networks, routing, firewalls is beneficial (CCNA) or similar knowledge and experience. Experience in operating and maintaining VMWare/ESXi servers. Familiarity with Microsoft domain servers and services such as DNS, Domain Controllers, account management. System and network automation skills. Experience building administering and managing Linux web servers and content is beneficial. Self-starter with ability to work independently or in teams and multi-task. Customer service skills.
