We are seeking a Red Hat Linux SME to support a government contract in Sterling, VA. Responsibilities: Install new or rebuild existing servers, services and storage in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements. Develop and maintain installation, configuration and security procedures. Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks. Identify approaches that leverage our resources and provide economies of scale. Responsible for team leadership to provide daily system monitoring, security, server health, resources, log management of all Linux systems Requirements: Knowledge of Red Hat management and provisioning solutions Strong knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux 6/7/8 Administration Strong experience with Red Hat Ansible Automation Strong experience with SELinux configuration and administration Experience with JBoss Enterprise Application Platform a plus Experience with Splunk IT Infrastructure monitoring and Event Log Management is a plus Experience with VMware vCenter and vSphere virtualization solutions is a plus Knowledge of FISMA and NIST security guidance and controls Experience applying DISA STIG compliance controls to secure systems Experience with Python and bash scripting Ability to keep up with current technology trends Ability to multitask and coordinate multiple projects concurrently Strong organizational and communication skills (written and oral) Individual contributor than can influence consensus for a large cross functional team Must be a US Citizen Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Education/Experience: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related technical field. MA/MS is preferred. 15 years of hands on experience working in an enterprise environment as a Senior Linux Engineer.
