Duties

Summary

You will serve as a Multi-Intelligence Collection Manager at the GG-12 grade level responsible for supporting the coordination, research, registration/creation, validation, and monitoring of multiple intelligence discipline collection requirements, aligning information needs to pre-determined intelligence priorities, and requesting advisory or direct tasking of operational, theater and national-level collection resources.

Responsibilities

  • You will review, validate, and prioritize individual collection requirements from a range of requestors, including those in time critical situations.
  • You will participate in working groups and other organizational meetings to address coordination of collection requirement issues.
  • You will assist requestors with understanding the capabilities of multiple intelligence disciplines, including best practices in writing and procedures for submitting collection requirements.
  • You will establish/recommend the creation of multi-intelligence collection requirements to satisfy core collection objectives.
  • You will translate received requirements into discipline-specific language in accordance with appropriate guidance and submit the requirement through the appropriate discipline specific systems.
  • You will research organizational or Intelligence Community (IC) priorities and guidance to align collection requests with priorities, and balance time sensitive requests with standing collection requirements.
  • You will recommend the optimal multi-discipline approach, as required, that fully addresses the needs identified by requestors, and overcomes potential gaps in collection.
  • You will develop collection strategies designed to satisfy specified collection requirements by selecting the proper organization, echelon, or unit to request tasking from, and synchronizing it with, supported operations.
  • You will assist in providing guidance and direction to Collection Operations Managers (COMs), including direct liaison and coordination with other IC organization?s CRMs.
  • You will share with and routinely update requestors on the status of collection requirements (e.g., where the requirements were submitted for tasking, the expected collection schedule, etc.).
  • You will monitor requirements through the intelligence process to ensure progress and fulfillment while keeping requestors informed.
  • You will provide formal and informal feedback to requestor on requirements status.
  • You will advocate on behalf of requestors for satisfaction of collection requirements through formal and informal processes.
  • You will maintain understanding of the requestor?s intelligence needs through a thorough understanding of all submitted intelligence support documents as well as participating directly with requestors in development of collection strategies.

  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.

  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.


Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS/GG-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing duties such as:
  • Evaluating all-source intelligence information to develop strategic intelligence assessments and reports supporting decision making on U.S. military planning and acquisitions.
  • Identifying critical intelligence gaps to develop collection requirements to fill those gaps.
  • Collecting, analyzing, interpreting, evaluating and integrating intelligence data from multiple sources in order to assess foreign military capabilities and effectiveness against U.S. military forces.
  • Reviewing intelligence products for technical accuracy, logical treatment and interpretation of information in support of the command.
  • Writing original intelligence assessments on foreign military capabilities using raw intelligence and conforming to the ODNI's Analytic Tradecraft Standards.
