Manager, Product Management

The Capital One Card Core Platform Team is looking for a Product Manager who will help define and execute our Core platform modernization strategy:
  • Develop a compelling product vision for capabilities that deliver breakthrough business value and make it easy for our internal consumers to access, use, and build on Core data.
  • Establish and maintain product roadmaps and an agile delivery operational structure in partnership with Tech that is efficient, transparent, and flexible.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships and feedback loops with senior business intent and downstream stakeholders across the enterprise who manage the product/credit strategy, downstream processes, technology, controls, and customer-facing experiences that depend on the capabilities and performance of the Core platform.


As a Product Manager you will work with architects, data scientists, service designers, process engineers and developers to translate human insights, dependent platform, app, and segment needs, downstream user feedback, and technology capabilities into scalable, resilient, and efficient consumer-centric services. You will develop end-to-end solutions to help us better serve Card customers.

General areas of responsibility:
  • You will be involved in shaping and contributing to the overall Card customer experience and enablement of Capital One's platform ecosystem by seeking and applying insights from dependent platforms, apps, and segments -, moving from concepts to prototypes and prototypes to scalable solutions.
  • You will develop hypotheses, build MVPs, and run pilots determining product, feature, and capability fit and value.
  • You will be a part of overall thought leadership around platform development at the intersection of data+design+tech = for the sake of creating meaningful, measurable business and customer value.
  • You will collaborate with an extended team beyond the card platform organization
  • You will lead a team of product owners who will work hand-in-hand with development teams that are your solutioning and delivery partners for bringing the roadmap to life and value to fruition.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or military experience
  • At least 1 year of experience in digital product management
  • At least 1 year of experience translating business strategy and analysis into consumer facing digital products


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile product management
