Salesforce Platform Engineer

The Spring Salesforce Platform Engineer will own the execution of Spring marketing and partnership initiatives in Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud. This is a hands-on role in the ongoing technical maintenance and integrations of Spring Salesforce platforms while helping build and support the execution of our digital marketing and partnership programs. The candidate will drive the evolution of Salesforce business processes and ensure adherence to technical best-practices with the goal of increasing operational efficiency and scalability of our platforms.

Responsibilities:
  • Leads solution architecture/design discussions, develops work effort estimates for implementation and presents solutions for new Spring Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud initiatives;
  • Executes development and advanced configuration activities in SFMC including email content, AMPscript, Journeys, segmentations, suppressions and data filters;
  • Executes development and advanced configuration activities in CRM including custom objects and fields, dashboards, reports, workflows, automations, and triggers;
  • Structures and implements marketing tests to drive optimization (e.g., test creative, copy, audience segments, triggers, etc.);
  • Supports change management (release) process to develop and implement new applications and update existing applications.
  • Works with business and technology partners to identify, define, interpret and clarify scope of CRM and Marketing Cloud integrations;
  • Collaborates with Business Insights and Integrations teams to support new and existing CRM and Marketing Cloud data sets, audience requests and ad-hoc analyses;
  • Manages email deliverability, database hygiene, subscription management and compliance with opt-in laws and regulations in Marketing Cloud;
  • Coordinates with Enterprise Technology, Email Governance, and Privacy teams to ensure compliance with and document adherence to Capital One policies.
  • Provides training, coaching and real-time support for issues relating to Salesforce CRM and Marketing Cloud for Partnerships and Marketing teams;
  • Drives evolution of Spring CRM by working closely with Partnership teams to understand and solve friction points in existing sales and account management processes;
  • Works closely with Marketing team to optimize marketing automation processes and campaign management best practices in Marketing Cloud;
  • Identifies data gaps within CRM and Marketing Cloud, works to improve data hygiene and develops documentation of current processes and roadmap for future enhancements.


Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 5 years of experience in Salesforce development


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Salesforce Certified Developer or Salesforce Certified Administrator certification
  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce Event streaming, monitoring and alerting
  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce DX and CI/CD
  • 3+ years working with Apex classes and Visualforce pages
  • 3+ years of experience with Flows and Process builder
  • 3+ years of experience with Github or other version control
  • 3+ years of experience in an Agile and DevOps environment
  • 3+ years of experience testing software applications
