Job Description

This role is responsible for analytics that support the Pricing Strategy function in delivering revenue optimizing strategies, competitive insights and overall top-line growth for Giant Food.

  • Support the design, deployment, and monitoring of pricing and revenue optimization strategies.
  • Provide strategy recommendations to leadership and portfolio teams by leveraging data across a variety of sources (e.g., financial, 3rd-party syndicated, marketing) to identify opportunities.
  • Influences pricing strategy by producing post-event analytics, measuring the financial impact of pricing decisions, tracking KPIs, and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Partner with internal and external resources to provide competitive analytics and insight in support of pricing strategy.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

Minimum requirements:
  • Curious, entrepreneurial, self-starter, with strong problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and cross-functionally while managing competing deadlines and priorities.
  • Bachelor\u0027s Degree in Business, Economics, Finance, or related field.
  • 3-5 years combined experience in analytics, data science, consulting, finance, or similar experience.
  • Background in retail, pricing or revenue management a plus, but not necessary.
  • Experience in developing executive level presentations and comfortable with presenting to an executive audience.
  • Experience working with large data sets and deriving actionable insights and recommendations, including those that have a financial impact.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint; knowledge of SQL, Python, R or demonstrated interest in learning.
