Merchandising Analyst Internship


Responsible for supporting Category Manager and Analysts to provide the business with insights and assessments specifically related to assortment, pricing, promotion and all othercategory strategies and initiatives. This will include data collection and analysis that enables the Category Manager to leverage information to drive merchandising category performance and profitable sales growth.
  • Provides support to Category Merchandising & Pricing teams that will support achievement of departmental strategies and initiatives
  • Responsible for all aspects of analysis, for categories being evaluated, that will support achievement of Brand strategies.
  • Assists with shelf presentation, assortment decisions, promotional planning, and product and program development.
  • Detect, research, and correct data errors within the product hierarchy
  • Create category deep dive to understand opportunity gaps and performance vs. competition with particular emphasis on assortment and pricing.
  • Provide recommendations that meet the needs of the most important shopper to the category.
  • Evaluate/summarize potential sales gain/loss on new items/deletes for reset; provide to Category Manager
