Job DescriptionASRC Federal Holding Company is seeking candidates in the Annapolis Junction, MD area to support an upcoming government contract. This position can potentially be supported remotely.Overview:The right candidate is a Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate - Windows Server (MCSA) and a Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) with a minimum of 10 years of demonstrated track record of success supporting requirements for 24x7x365 mission critical systems.The Senior Windows System Administrator is responsible for overseeing the daily operations and administration of the IT server infrastructure. You will perform a wide variety of duties which include, but are not limited to, analysis, installation, modification, documentation, maintenance, problem diagnosis, and repair of all server technology hardware and software. You also provide hardware and software technical guidance to core IT administrators and remote sites.You will implement web server configurations, which includes installation of all standard plugins, configuration, and SSL.You will create, maintain, and update documentation. You back up, retrieve, maintain, and migrate programs and data.You will partner with the enterprise stakeholders, IT support organization and development teams to chart a service delivery roadmap, manage deliverables, SLAs and SLOs. Responsibilities:Installing or upgrading Windows systems and servers.Assessing the stability, security, and scalability of installed Windows systems.Develop and implement project plans, risk assessments and contingency plans in collaboration with IT Managers.Administer and support core Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, and VMware technologies.Design and implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment.Troubleshooting system and server errors.Reviewing system error logs and user-reported errors.Monitoring and updating the Windows codebase.Managing user access.Monitoring system performance.Maintaining server architecture security and creating system backups.Develop and maintain SOPs for preventive and corrective action problem solving.Develop and maintain artifacts and reports for operations, sequencing, upgrades, updates, and support hardware platforms.Interact with customers and staff at the technical level, as required.Assist with hardware, firewall, telecom and software vendor evaluation, recommendation, and negotiations Mentor / cross train team members on existing and new technologies.Support design, install, and configuration of internal and customer facing servers, network devices and firewalls.Proactively manage and maintain server, network, and firewall systems with network staff.Providing technical support for staff and back-end system users.RequirementsQualifications:At least 10 years of experience in architecting, configuring, patching, and upgrading windows servers.Proven work experience as a Windows Administrator.Advanced knowledge of Windows Server /desktop Operating Systems.Managing server virtualization technologies like VMWare Server/ESX or Microsoft HyperV/Virtual Server.Managing several Windows Server infrastructure and supporting development rollouts.Detailed knowledge of Windows server setup, deployment, and maintenance.Experience with databases, patch management, and networks including LAN and WAN.Familiarity with modern operating systems and server platforms.Knowledge of network security systems, intrusion detection systems, and data backup.Good problem-solving skills.Good analytical and communication skills.Stay current with the advancement in related technology and be able to recommend enhancements or improvements to increase efficiency.Exceptional analytical and technical aptitude.Great organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.Availability to resolve urgent server issues outside of business hours.Experience in federal contracting industry helpful.Tools/Technology/Certifications:Following certifications are RequiredMicrosoft Certified Solutions Associate - Windows Server (MCSA)Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)Familiarity with following tools is a plusMS Windows 10 MS Server 2012R2/2016/2019 IBM Power 8Power System E880CIntel-Based Commodity ServersASRC Federal and its Subsidiaries are Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employers.
