Job Description Successful candidate will be working hands on with some of the most disruptive and emerging technologies and across the most advanced applications in the FS space. Typical Day in the Role: - Manage day-to-day issues including health checks of application and process, working closely with end users, development staff and infrastructure teams, to prioritize and resolve and/or mitigate the outages - Monitor production activities/process to ensure timely and effective reporting, tracking, follow-up and communication of problems to internal clients - Ensure information controls, backup and recovery strategies are in place across all the environments - Implement the continuous process improvement, including but not limited to policy, procedures and the production monitoring - Monitoring the daily applications feeds and make sure they are available on time for user to produce their reports. If they are not available on time work with upstream to resolve the issue. - Carefully evaluate alternative risks and solutions before taking action to provide time resolutions - Develop and maintain relationship with technical staff, end users and clients - Develop/Unitize the core support tools and process to perform work while improving day-to-day practice fir support team with the goal of delivering service improvements to the business - Help identifying, coordinating , implementing initiative/projects activities that create efficiencies and optimize technical processing - Work on Incidents/User issues, Perform code research and troubleshot the problem, Bath job issues and resiliency Must Have Skills/Requirements: 1) 6+ years of hands-on L2/L3 application support experience financial/regulatory reporting application support is highly preferred 2) 5+ years of experience with distributed applications (Oracle, SQL, UNIX, Linux, Java, Web Services, Tomcat, etc.) 3) 3+ years of experience with Axiom Controllers view applications working through different data flows and report structure development is implementation is a plus 4) 5+ years of experience with Linux and UNIX platforms and shell scripting 5) 5+ years of experience with SQL debugging skills 6) 3+ years of Hands-on experience with manual and automatic deployment process Soft Skills: - Strong analytical and trouble shooting skills required - Excellent communication and teamwork skills to work with multiple groups across the bank, gathering - Must be reliable, proactive, results-oriented, customer-focused and attentive to details. - Must be flexible to adapt to a dynamic environment, make quick and sound decisions under pressure - Strong organizational skills, excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills Nice to have Skills: - Working experience with Axiom Controllers view application and should have knowledge in navigating through different data flows and report structure - Experience with batch scheduling in tools like Autosys and Control-M - Middleware technologies like Apache, Tomcat or WebLogic - Experience in Axiom controllers view development and Implementation is plus - Excellent problem solving skills and relentless drive for root cause analysis and measure to reduce repeat occurrence - Knowledge in monitoring tools like Geneos, Dynatrace is plus Education or Certifications: - Nothing specific required Interview Process: Hiring manager and 2 technical leads both personal and technical side in one interview - Microsoft Teams Additional Notes: The Application Support Engineer handles all the support request, Incidents, issues, ticket and business continuity activities to ensure flawless and quality delivery of service to end users. This is critical role requiring highly dedicated individual who can take ownership and provide procedural and technical support to various teams and work on partnership with internal and external stakeholders. In addition to driving of day-to-day issues, major incidents and outages to resolutions, the application support engineer will work with application development, infrastructure, and vendor teams. You should have proactive approach to identify the problems before they occur and implement the solutions that deduct and prevent outages.
