Job Description What does a great Sr. Sales Executive, Government Solutions, do? Looking for a Sales Executive to join our Government Solutions team in the Washington DC area. Seeking a highly motivated sales professional with experience selling directly into Federal agencies. Using your proven ability to drive new business you will be meeting with client executive leadership to solidify a positive relationship and demonstrate how Fiserv's products and services can help solve their problems. Part of a team of sales executives, product specialists, solution consultants, and relationship managers that bring a variety of skills to deepen client relationships and secure new business. The Sales Executive is the lead salesperson providing strategic and consultative management for a portfolio of new and existing clients within Fiserv's Government vertical. As the strategic advisor to the client, this individual is required to have an in-depth understanding of the client's business, goals, strategies, and industry trends, and directions. This role is passionate about helping clients meet their business objectives by integrating a broad set of innovative payment and technology solutions in complex government environments. As a Sales Executive, you can look forward to: * Responsible for new C-level account development with large complex customers with longer sales cycle. These are the top-level individual salespeople below the global account level. * Long sales cycle. 'C-Level' (CEO, CFO, CIO) sales. Works with minimal mentorship. (Government) * Prospecting for new opportunities with government agencies in assigned territory. Build and manage a pipeline of opportunities. * Developing accounts by meeting with prospective clients to build relationships and understand opportunities before RFPs are released. * Leading efforts on approved opportunities, including developing the winning strategies, coordinating internal resources, participating in the proposal process, leading communications with the client, etc. Basic qualifications for consideration: * High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred * 5+ years sales related experience, specifically selling into federal government agencies * Travel: 40% Preferred qualifications for consideration: * Sales experience with government agencies, and a good understanding of the complex procurement processes * Background in complex information technology projects. * Experience in state and local government IT system and programs, Management consulting services sales, payment processing, prepaid government benefits, and cloud computing (Government) are preferred. Knowledge of alternative payment technologies and concept of faster payments is a plus. * Government Solutions: As consumer technology evolves, constituents demand more convenient access to government services.
