SmithBucklin, a 100 percent employee-owned association management company, is looking for a Sr. Marketing & Communications Coordinator to join our team in Washington DC . The Marketing & Communications Services (MCS) unit provides a variety of services to our client organizations, including branding, creative services, public relations, membership publications, and convention and event marketing that goes beyond the successful execution of program and campaign deliverables. Our team partners with association leaders and other volunteers to develop marketing and communication strategies that are based on solid research and analysis that support the overall objectives of the organization. What You Will Do Act as account liaison and project lead for client organizations - specifically in the areas event and membership marketing Possess experience and interest in digital campaigns; inclusive of digital advertising and social media Provide creative writing/editing and production management for direct mail collateral and other campaign materials Manage the implementation of client marketing activities, including organization and delegation of project roles/responsibilities Manage client budgets, contributing to overall corporate budget and monitoring monthly financials Coordinate work flow and work quality with other team members in both direct and indirect lines of supervision Work closely with internal teams to identify opportunities for growth and developing best-in-class marketing and communications capabilities for client organizations Leverage marketing influence and impact by developing strong position relationships with external client contacts and volunteer leaders This Role Might Be for You If You have a passion for marketing and communications, and the impact this function has for nonprofits You possess strong oral and written communication skills You are proficient in budget/financial management You exhibit strong project management skills You have demonstrated leadership skills You have the ability to travel Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year institution with concentration in Marketing, Communications, Advertising or Business preferred 5-7 years of relevant professional experience in a marketing environment Preferred Qualifications Working knowledge of marketing process, including research, planning, promotion and evaluation Experience with marketing events, tradeshows and/or membership organizations is a plus Client service experience critical; agency experience and healthcare industry experience helpful; history of working with volunteer leaders/boards is a plus Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Basic to moderate knowledge of HTML Where Do You Fit?
