Administrative Assistant II - School of Social Work Salisbury University, a member of the University System of Maryland, is a regionally accredited four-year comprehensive institution offering 58 distinct graduate and undergraduate programs. Salisbury University is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Administrative Assistant II in the School of Social Work. Primary Job Duties: This position provides complex and detailed-oriented administrative support to the School of Social Work and reports directly to the School of Social Work Director. This position provides support requiring comprehensive knowledge of policies, procedures, and confidential matters within the University and School of Social Work. Incumbent exercises discretion and judgement with considerable consequence of error. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and 3 years' experience providing administrative support and background/knowledge of accounting practices. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. General knowledge of and skill in the practical application of generally accepted office practices and procedures. Ability to prepare and track multiple budgets. Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing. Ability to proofread and edit written documents. Skill in various computer software packages, such as word processing, spreadsheets, database, and presentation programs, Internet, email and calendaring software. Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions. Ability to interact effectively with internal and external parties in a courteous and efficient manner. Ability to plan, organize, prioritize, and execute multiple and continuing assignments with general instructions. Preferred Qualifications: Working knowledge of PeopleSoft. This is a full-time, non-exempt, State position with a full benefits package. Starting hourly rate is $17.82, which is approximately $37,157.00 annually.
